Hello, I recently took the exam, and passed! I'm very excited about becoming an apprentice and I would like to know if there is anything I should know about the interview as far as impressing the panel? Also what are my chances getting hired after the interview?

Congratulations on your test score. Im not sure if there's any specific advice I can give you to "impress" the inteviewers. I do know that the JATC is interested in folks who are looking for a career in the elctrical industry. Meaning we want folks who want to work 20 or 30 years in the trade. Beyond that I would say that a suit and respectful honest approach cant hurt. As for being hired after the interview, I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean hired "on the spot" that is not how things work. Selections for the apprenticeship are made in August usually, and once your accepted you would be given a training assignment at that point. You might consider looking into our trainee program if you're interested in going to work before selections. Good luck.
