I've passed my aptitude test, had my interview and am hoping to get accepted in telecommunication program. I have a 9to5 that I have been working at for the past year. Should I quit my job (hospitality job non electrical) when my name gets in the top 10 of the residential OJT list? I'm worried I will work for 2 or 3 months than be right back in line waiting a few months unemployed. Advice please?

Working in the construction field is never a guarentee. Typically, apprentices are kept busy, but you need to realize that employment is based on the need for help. I can't advise you about quitting your job, that's a personal decision.
