 I was told the 1st class starts Thursday, September 6th. Can I let my job know my last day is September 5th or should I wait?

 I don't know who told you that. If it is true, then of course you can, since you are starting a new career. It's up to you.

 Thank you. Well I was looking at another post actually and it says the Telecom classes start Sept. 6th
